Baby Room
Welcome to the Baby Room!
Our Baby Room is a large spacious area comprising of 3 connected rooms along with a large outdoor play terrace.
The Baby Room layout provides the babies with ample space to explore encouraging them to practise crawling and walking. Throughout the rooms staff ensure resources and activities are all at the babies’ level and age appropriate. This gives the babies the best opportunity to explore all areas of the room.
At mealtimes the babies sit around the tables accompanied by the staff team to encourage the babies’ social skills by talking about their day and their food. Throughout the day sand, water and various messy activities are available for the babies to explore.
The babies have a dedicated space used for sleep time. We try to follow your sleep routine at home using cots, beds and sleep pods. Outside of sleep times, the room is also used for the babies to play and explore sensory toys and light.
The outdoor area is exclusive to the babies and provides them with opportunities to develop their physical development through climbing, running and providing various opportunities for the babies to pull themselves to stand using the busy board, slide and ramp along with other outdoor resources.
Toddler Room
Welcome to the Toddler Room!
The Toddler Room is set over 2 large playrooms and a separate sensory room. The rooms are set up to promote children's learning and development in all our different areas which include a role play area, cosy reading area, sand play, construction, playdough station, mark making area, messy and water area and our sensory room.
We like to encourage and promote independence within the toddler room through self serving at mealtimes, daily toothbrushing and potty training.
Outdoor play is an important part of the children's learning and development and this is part of our daily routine. Our aim is to ensure that each day is a fun filled day and an enjoyable experience for all children!
Every child is treated as an individual and play opportunities are planned around children's interests and promote the children's learning.
Preschool
Welcome to the preschool room!
Our preschool space is set across 3 rooms. We have our messy play room where the children enjoy a range of activities: sand, water, playdough and as well as a variety of messy activities. This room also has a tuff tray which is changed weekly to link in with children's interests or to help develop different skills. The second room is a sensory room where the children can enjoy a range of toys to stimulate the senses or which can be used as a quiet environment for the children to enjoy sensory breaks. The final room houses our home corner, role play area, construction area, cosy book corner and a small world area.
Outdoor play is so important for all children so we make sure that we access the outdoor space twice a day for at least half an hour at a time. We ask children to bring big coats, hat, wellies, sunhats, etc. as we do go outside in all weathers and the children absolutely love this! We ensure that the children are all completing age appropriate activities so we enjoy split group times.
For the younger children, we enjoy group stories and social circles to help the children build friendships and develop important skills. For those going to school in September, we focus on self independence, teaching them how to put their own coats on, attending to their toileting needs with more independence and recognising their own names and beginning to write some of the letters.
